Always stop by at least once when we're in Rangeley. Excellent selection of Gifford's Ice Cream!Wait times may be a bit long depending on how many people are in line.I've always found the staff to be super friendly.

Excellent selection of ice cream

While the ice cream is pretty much the same as any other place, the people are very friendly. They are the only ice cream shop for miles around. The big thing is they're on a lake. They have plenty of seating both in front and out back. You can sit at a picnic table or around the lake in chairs. Bring some bread to feed the ducks, they'll eat right out of your hand! This is why we never miss this place. All the kids love it whether they're 6 or 96! 😉 Every time we're in the area we make sure to stop in. It's especially nice after visiting Smalls Falls rest stop, which is rarely used as a rest stop and is great to check out on a hot day, just make sure you bring your camera and your swimsuit!

Have been going since I was a teenager with my Dad. Now I've taken my children and grandchildren.

Great selection of ice cream, but a bit expensive.I guess it is worth it considering you are just about halfway between the equator and the north pole.

We love this place...ice cream is awesome.

Good icecream and at a great price. They have lots of options and are Covid-19 safe. They do have lobster rolls, but it's just the roll. You can get a lobster roll across the street and it'll atleast have fries. That being said, these lobster rolls are great! The buns are well battered and toasted perfectly. The lobster meat was all claw so it was a little tough but what do you expect from an icecream stand in the western mountains? Over all it better than some lobster rolls in Portland and they make them Maine style aka the right way. Very good, but very pricey.

Great local ice cream shop. Seems to be a constantly busy because every time we were there/drove by there was a wait. Highly recommended.

Great local ice cream shop in downtown Rangeley. Serving up generous scoops of Gifford's Ice cream (the BEST!!) and diner-style nosh at reasonable prices. The servers at the window are ALWAYS super sweet and patient. Quick service with a smile - nothing better than that when ice cream's involved! Definitely an easy stop anytime you're passing through Rangeley.

I never review any establishment whether I have a positive or negative experience, however a recent unfair and inaccurate review forces my hand... I’ve eaten at Frosty’s many times over the last two summers. I rotate between the fish and chips, burger, and lobster roll. All are delicious by any standard, and maybe more importantly a great value. I’ve never been disappointed. Large portions, tasty food, great service, and outdoor seating on the water make Frosty’s a must visit if you’re vacationing in Rangely. I would question the motives of a review to the contrary, and I say this as an arguably picky eater and tough critic. One thing that appears to be inarguable (even by the few negative reviewers): the ice cream is delicious. If you’re in Rangely and looking for delicious food at a very fair price and value... Do yourself a favor and check out Frosty’s!!!

I was disappointed by the haddock and fries. The fish looked like it was meant to be served at the senior center. The hot fudge sundae was great however.

Quality ice cream! Had the blackberry cobbler in a waffle cone. Delicious!!!! My son had to soft serve vanilla and they added surprise mini gummies. Yum! Def recommend you stop here for some ice cream.
